Descriptions of Evangelion's People, Places, and Things

NOTICE 2: Much of what is within this "FAQ" are also spoilers, so beware if you've yet to see the series/movies.

Here's how this works: to the left there is a table with various categories of interest from Neon Genesis Evangelion. Clicking on any one of them will either open up a new window of selections to choose from, or a new page will open up on this side of the page. Whenever a new window pops up, it will remain there until you either choose a selection, click the "Click to kill window" selection, or move the mouse onto and then off the window. This system works quite well, so don't be put off by it.

"Character Descriptions" is just as it sounds; if you click on it, it will display a number of major characters from the series and show some information about that character. "Evangelion Descriptions" is similar to "Character Descriptions" except that it features information on the various Evangelion Units/Models seen throughout the series. "Angel Descriptions" is the same way, but it has information pertaining to the enemies of the EVAs, the Angels.

"Evangelion Story" contains links to the series' ending summaries, and later on it will also contain summaries/reviews of the films. The various plot devices used in the series (such as the Lance of Longinus, Instrumentality, the history behind the Second Impact, etc.) will eventually be looked into, and there will also be a section interpreting and elaborating on the symbolism found in the series (such as the Tree of Sephiroth, the mask of SEELE, etc).

"Secrets of Evangelion" is an indepth look at several topics within the series, such as SEELE, the Dead Sea Scrolls, and the like. This was a section originally published in NGE graphic novels 5 and 6.

"Errata" has links to notes from the Anime Series Writer and Director, Hideyaki Anno; Manga Series Writer, Artist, and Character Designer Yoshiyuki Sadamoto; and Mecha Designer Ikuto Yamashita. And "Effects of Evangelion" will chronicle how Neon Genesis Evangelion changed the anime world and why.
